Baroque in Central Europe
A concert presenting the colourful and spectacular music of the 17th century Central Europe, including contemporary premieres of works.
The programme includes vocal-instrumental and chamber music by Polish, Moravian composers and those associated with today’s Bratislava or the Slovak Spiš region.
The delightful, erudition-filled and deeply expressive work of Marcin Mielczewski, Sylwester Szarzyński, Grzegorz Gerwazy Gorczycki, Heinrich Biber, Pavel Vejvanowski, Samuel Capricornus and Johann Schimrack will take you to a fascinating world in which high-class music was an inseparable element of life, both for the elite and local communities.
